Don’t forget to complete the online survey about urban design guidelines for The Interchange project!
The deadline for survey submissions is noon, Sept. 6. Then make sure you join us from 4:30 – 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Hennepin County Environmental Services Building, Visitor’s Center, 417 N. Fifth St., Minneapolis, for a public display showing some of the urban design concepts being considered.
What is The Interchange?
The Interchange in downtown Minneapolis will unite transit and development creating a civic space connecting multiple transportation options, supporting a vibrant regional economy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing mobility. Currently, more than 240 trains arrive and depart daily via Hiawatha Light Rail Transit and Northstar Commuter Rail. An additional 240 trains are expected in 2014, when Central Corridor LRT opens.
